Job Description

The role of Business Controller at Polykemi is broad and development-oriented. You will work closely with the CFO and the business as a whole, playing a central role in further developing controlling, follow-up, and financial processes. This is a role where analysis leads to action. You are expected to understand the business in depth, identify improvement opportunities, and contribute to developing how work is conducted over time.

A key part of the assignment is to further develop methods for budgeting and forecasting, improve follow-up related to production, and create more value-adding analyses and decision support. The work aims to create a better understanding of profitability, cost drivers, and business decisions within the operations.

The role also involves gradually developing how we work with follow-up and analysis, with an interest in new ways of working and methods. At the same time, there is an understanding that change needs to happen with reflection and at the right pace.

The focus is not on rapid changes but on improving the business step by step. Identifying the right initiatives, anchoring them, and engaging the organization is a central part of the role. The work is carried out both in process form and in projects, often in close collaboration with production, finance, and other functions, as well as with other companies within the group.

Your responsibilities include, among others:

• Develop and streamline methods for budgeting and forecasting
• Work with analysis and controlling related to production and business
• Develop calculations, key performance indicators, and decision support
• Improve reporting and financial processes
• Drive improvement initiatives in close collaboration with the business and the group

Your Profile

We believe you are someone who enjoys working independently and taking responsibility for your areas. Curiosity and analytical skills are important, as is the willingness to understand how things fit together and how they can be improved. It is natural for you to take initiative, ask questions, and drive issues forward even when the path is not entirely clear. Experience with controlling in manufacturing operations gives you confidence in working closely with production. Experience in the process industry is an asset.

At the same time, you have an attentive and humble attitude towards both people and the business. The ability to engage others is central, and you are comfortable in dialogue with different parts of the organization. Being able to challenge constructively is an important part of the role.

We prefer that you:

• Have experience with controlling in manufacturing companies
• Preferably have worked within manufacturing companies
• Are experienced with budgeting, forecasting, and follow-up
• Have an interest in developing ways of working and methods
• Are confident in working independently and driving issues forward
• Communicate well in Swedish and English
