Accountant for Peab's Group Accounting Team

Peab's group accounting team is seeking an accountant who wants to combine accounting and closing work with follow-up and operational support in an environment that offers both responsibility and development. This role is ideal for someone with a few years of accounting experience who wants to take the next step into a larger group with insight into business, management, and ownership perspectives.

About the Role

This is a broad accounting role where you will be part of a competent group accounting team while maintaining contact with other parts of the organization. The role involves classic accounting in close collaboration with the person responsible for the parent company's accounting, providing broad exposure within a large listed and well-known group.

Simultaneously, you will work on the follow-up and analysis of economic information such as order intake, order backlog, and housing statistics. In this capacity, you will serve as operational support by compiling, analyzing, and presenting data used by controllers and management.

The role also includes work on group accounting for leasing and participation in improvement and development initiatives within the finance function.

Key Responsibilities

Main areas of responsibility include:

• Routine accounting and closing work for the parent company Peab AB
• Follow-up, analysis, and compilation of order- and housing-related information
• Work on the group's accounting for leasing
• Participation in development and improvement projects
• Other ongoing tasks within group accounting

Required Background

We are looking for someone who has:

• Post-secondary education in economics (university/college or equivalent)
• At least 2–3 years of experience in accounting work, including preparing own financial statements (e.g., from an accounting firm, SSC role towards subsidiaries, or similar)
• Good understanding of the accounting process and the economic flows within a finance department

Experience from a larger organization or group is an asset, but the most important factor is that you have worked independently with accounting and preparing financial statements.
