Here, you will have the opportunity to work with advanced products used globally - within both defense and offshore sectors - and follow them through their entire lifecycle: from sales and delivery to further development and long-term maintenance.

About the Role

As a Product Engineer, you will become a central link between customer, business, and technology, with clear responsibility for contracts, commitments, and delivery. You will ensure that Saab's underwater systems create value for the customer over time.

You will belong to an aftermarket organization working with advanced underwater vehicles, such as autonomous systems operating at great depths in complex and critical environments.

The role entails broad responsibilities, including:

• Ensuring functionality, operational capability, and delivery in accordance with contracts
• Working closely with customers, such as maritime actors and international organizations
• Driving technical investigations, troubleshooting, and improvement measures
• Contributing to the sales of services, upgrades, and spare parts
• Planning and conducting technical training for customers
• Coordinating internal specialist functions and maintaining the big picture

You will often function as a project manager, coordinating expertise in mechanics, electronics, and software - the experts are within the organization, but you take overall responsibility.

• Lead times are shortened

Your Profile

We are looking for someone who has understanding and interest in technology, but where your main strength and focus lie within contracts, commercial terms, and commercial follow-up.

You do not need to be a technical specialist, but you need to:

• Understand technical contexts well enough to conduct dialogue with specialists and customers
• Be able to interpret, apply, and follow up on contracts, agreements, and commercial terms throughout the delivery

We are looking for someone who thrives at the intersection of technology and business and feels confident taking responsibility for commitments, deliveries, and deviation management.

We believe you:

• Have a technical education (engineer or equivalent) or equivalent technical understanding
• Have an interest in complex technical systems
• Have experience of, or a strong ability to understand, contracts and commercial terms
• Have worked with implementation, follow-up, and deliveries
• Enjoy a coordinating role with many points of contact
• Are structured, responsible, and used to keeping the big picture together
• Communicate fluently in Swedish and English

Merits

• Experience in aftermarket, service organization, or technical support
• Experience with business systems (e.g., IFS) or planning tools
• Experience from industry, defense, or another complex technical environment

Security Clearance

The position requires that you undergo and be approved according to current security clearance regulations. For positions where Saab has requirements for security classification, this may, where applicable, entail requirements for certain citizenship.

About the Team and Organization

You will become part of an organization with three main areas:

• Sensors and Mines
• Torpedo Systems
• Underwater Vehicles (your section)

You will work closely together and collaborate closely with both development and customers, providing a unique insight into the entire product lifecycle.
