Procurement Officer for Umeå Municipality

We are currently seeking an experienced Procurement Officer for the Procurement Agency, with a focus on vehicles, machinery, transport, and publicly funded travel. Other procurement areas may also be included in the assignment.

Location: Umeå, with the possibility of some remote work after an initial on-site period.

Your Assignment

As a Procurement Officer with us, you will:

• Drive and execute procurements within the main areas of vehicles, machinery, transport, and publicly funded travel.
• Participate in other procurement projects within the municipality.
• Use e-Avrop and other relevant procurement systems in your daily work.
• Collaborate closely with colleagues and the administration to ensure efficient and correct procurement processes.

We Are Looking For You Who

To succeed in this role, you have:

• An academic degree or equivalent in a relevant field (e.g., law, economics, or public administration).
• At least 5 years of experience in management with personnel responsibility.
• Documented experience in driving major organizational development – roles, organization, decision-making processes, and accountability.
• Good experience working with relevant systems/tools, including e-Avrop.
• At least 3 years of experience with similar tasks in a politically governed organization.
• Good knowledge of legislation regarding procurement and the public sector.
• The ability to start the assignment quickly.
• The assignment is conditional on you passing the security clearance.
