Why this job is for you You thrive when a clear holistic perspective is needed to create the right conditions for the details. When technical systems emerge from the interplay between different disciplines, people, and perspectives. As a Systems Engineer with us, you will play a central role in creating structure, clarity, and direction – turning advanced technical challenges into functional, robust, and sustainable systems.
You enjoy working broadly and easily switch between details and the big picture. One moment you are diving deep into requirements, interfaces, or technical trade-offs; the next, you are supporting teams, coordinating subsystems, and ensuring everyone is moving in the same direction. For you, systems engineering is not just about technology, but about interaction, structure, and clear communication.
The world is changing rapidly, and our customers face increasing demands on both products and systems. As technology develops, so does complexity. At Knightec Group, we have had the privilege of accompanying our national and global customers throughout this journey – from early ideas to finished solutions in operation. Now we are looking for you to take overall responsibility in this development.
As a consultant with us, you get the variety and challenge of exciting customer assignments, while enjoying the security and belonging of a team that shares knowledge, supports each other, and moves forward together. Your development is not left to chance – we follow it together and adapt the path along the way.
You will work within our Hardware & Design business area, where we combine broad engineering competence with deep specialist knowledge and a user-centered approach – to develop physical products and digital experiences all the way from concept to large-scale production.
Responsibilities
Take responsibility for the overall system perspective in technical projects – from early requirement gathering to verified and finished solutions
Coordinate and integrate subsystems within mechanics, electronics, automation, and software into a functional whole
Lead and structure requirements work: identify, specify, track, and verify system requirements in close collaboration with customers and internal teams
Establish and maintain system documentation such as system descriptions, interface documents, and verification plans
Act as the technical contact point between customers, suppliers, and internal development teams
Support project managers in technical decisions, prioritizations, and risk assessments
Ensure that the system solution meets relevant standards, regulations, and customer requirements
Qualifications You are analytical, structured, and confident in technical reasoning – but also communicative and unpretentious in collaboration with others. You like to take responsibility, share your knowledge, and contribute to the development of both teams and solutions. At the same time, you have the ability to drive your work forward independently.
We look for you to have:
A Master of Science in Engineering or Bachelor of Science in Engineering degree in fields such as mechanical engineering, mechatronics, electrical engineering, technical physics, or industrial economics
Further education or certification in systems engineering, e.g., INCOSE, MBSE, requirements management, or project management
At least 5 years of experience as a systems engineer, technical project manager, or in another cohesive technical role
Documented experience in requirements management, system architecture, and system integration in development projects
Good ability to communicate fluently in Swedish and English
Since some of our assignments are subject to defense secrecy, a security clearance may be required for the assignment.
