On behalf of our client, we are seeking a Fire Protection Technician who wants to take a central role in developing the company's work within fire stopping. In this role, you will be responsible for booking and planning your own assignments, conducting inventories, assessing the need for action, preparing proposals for methods and time requirements, and performing fire stopping with high precision followed by documentation. This position suits someone who is meticulous, confident in customer contact, and accustomed to working independently on-site.

What do we offer?

Working for our client means a day-to-day that is independent, varied, and where you have the opportunity to influence how fire stopping will develop in the future. You will receive support from an operational manager and colleagues with extensive experience, while working in a structured manner with clear tools and routines. You will also get:

  • The opportunity to help build and influence working methods within fire stopping.
  • Practical learning together with a present operational manager and colleagues, including internal training.
  • A wellness allowance of 4,800 SEK.
  • Great independence in planning and booking your own assignments.
  • A stable organization with technicians, electricians, and consultants collaborating throughout the chain of preventive fire protection.

About the company:
Our client works proactively with prescriptive and preventive fire protection. Through customer visits and inspections, they identify needs, provide recommendations, and follow up over time via annual reviews and service. The organization consists of approximately 30 people – eight technicians, four electricians, four on the consulting side, and sales/customer service/administration – providing good breadth and close collaboration. The need for fire stopping is growing, and therefore we are now looking for you to take the baton and further develop the area.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for someone with documented experience in fire stopping and an understanding of fire-rated constructions and fire cell boundaries, who wants to combine practical craftsmanship with structure, planning, and clear documentation. You may come from backgrounds such as fire stopping, fire technology/fire protection, or jointing/sealing, where you have gained a good understanding of what is required to restore fire technical properties correctly.

Requirements and qualifications:

  • Experience in fire stopping.
  • Accustomed to planning, booking, and carrying out your own assignments, as well as managing your work week independently.
  • Structured documentation skills: collecting, summarizing, and writing reports in a clear, recipient-adapted manner.
  • Confident in customer dialogue both on-site and via phone; you can explain actions and time requirements in an understandable way.
  • Swedish in speech and writing.

Merits:

  • Knowledge of BBR (Swedish Building Code) and AMA related to fire protection.
  • Experience with system support for work orders/documentation.

We believe you are meticulous, curious, and quality-conscious, enjoy working independently at the customer's site, and have good planning skills. At the same time, you are a social "chameleon" who meets many different people in your daily life, from property owners to residents in housing cooperatives. To succeed in this role, you need to appreciate the craft, i.e., learning by doing, and be willing to share experiences with colleagues.

What does the role entail?

The role is broad and practical with a focus on fire stopping from start to finish. You conduct inventories, prepare method proposals, schedule, and explain actions to the customer, perform the work, and ensure correct documentation afterwards. In close cooperation with the consulting side, you identify what needs to be addressed and how, and you drive the planning yourself so that the week's assignments flow smoothly. Initially, the role may include some tasks outside of pure fire stopping, but in the long run, the role will move more towards fire stopping as the area grows. Tasks include, for example:

  • Inventory and project planning of fire stopping, including the development of methodology/method proposals.
  • Execution on-site.
  • Customer dialogue and feedback, which includes explaining actions and expected impact.
  • Structured documentation for work orders and follow-up.
  • Planning and self-booking of assignments, as well as weekly check-ins with the team.
  • Continuous learning through internal training and relevant manufacturer training.

This is a recruitment with an immediate start or by agreement. This recruitment process includes a background check that compiles previous public criminal records. The background check consists of public information handled confidentially. Interested? Submit your application as soon as possible as selection is ongoing.
