Are you ready for a bigger task?
The Swedish Police Authority is Sweden's largest authority with approximately 40,000 employees across the country. With us, you have the opportunity to contribute to the Police's mission to increase safety and reduce crime in society.
Economic crime has a significant impact on essential societal functions and is the source of income for criminal networks to finance other crimes.
The Fraud Section belongs to the investigation unit in the Stockholm region. The section management consists of a section chief, a deputy section chief, and 15 group leaders. The section has a total of about 140 employees. Criminal economics, which also includes welfare crime, is a growing problem that is increasingly exploited by organized crime. As a preliminary investigation leader/investigation leader in one of our investigation groups, you are responsible for ensuring that incoming cases are prioritized and handled in accordance with given directives or otherwise what is best for each case. You provide advice and guide employees throughout the investigation process.
The Fraud Section is a multifaceted workplace where the variation in the nature of cases is large, ranging from relatively simple cases to cases of high complexity where we work in teams with various functions involved. The cases handled by the section often have a direct connection to focus persons in the region and, in some cases, are of a system-threatening nature. The work we perform is of great importance to many victims who have often suffered significant harm both financially and emotionally due to the crimes.
We are now looking for three preliminary investigation leaders based in Sollentuna or Farsta.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
As a preliminary investigation leader, you will independently lead and drive preliminary investigations.
- You make decisions about the initiation and conclusion of the preliminary investigation, as well as coercive measures when applicable.
- You work closely with investigators, other preliminary investigation leaders, group leaders, operational coordinators, and prosecutors.
- You lead together with the group leader how the investigators organize their work, and you are jointly responsible for the development and capability of the group.
- You prioritize, allocate resources, and follow up on our cases.
- You ensure that we work with quality in our cases.
- Together with your colleagues, you contribute to the long-term change and development work of the organization.
- You have the ability to set goals and achieve results that lead to desired effects.
QUALIFICATIONS
This is an opportunity for you who have:
- Swedish approved police exam in accordance with the Police Ordinance (2014:1104) or another academic degree that the employer assesses as relevant.
- The Police Authority's national preliminary investigation training or other comparable experience that allows you to be granted the authority to lead preliminary investigations.
- Very good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.
- Good knowledge of English, both spoken and written.
- Very good computer skills.
It is meritorious if you also have:
- Previously held a supervisory position.
- Experience in investigations related to fraud or similar that the employer assesses as relevant.
- Experience in leading preliminary investigations and/or investigations.
- Work with secret coercive measures.
Personal qualities
We are looking for someone who has a genuine interest in leadership and is engaged in the role of preliminary investigation leader. Your tasks place high demands on structure and flexibility to handle multiple cases simultaneously while leading and developing investigators. We see that you are solution-focused, change-oriented, and clear in your leadership. Since collaboration occurs both within and outside the authority, you need to have good collaboration skills.
We will place great emphasis on personal qualities.
