As an Operational Manager, you are responsible for institution-wide coordination and work leadership of ongoing operations outside office hours, during evenings and nights, with the aim of promoting a safe care and work environment.

You guide and support your colleagues in their work and ensure that operations are conducted in a legally secure manner and in accordance with applicable guidelines, methods, and set goals. Specifically, this includes being responsible for incident management during alarm situations and taking necessary measures following an incident. You communicate identified deficiencies and deviations from routines to relevant managers. You prepare and update risk assessments and make decisions regarding coercive measures according to LVU, LSU, and LVM, in line with SiS's work and delegation order.

To thrive and succeed in this role, we believe you are a stable person who maintains calm even in stressful situations. You have the will and ability to act based on current decisions, guidelines, and policies. You have a holistic view and act in the best interest of the organization. Furthermore, you are structured in your work and have a good ability to plan and prioritize effectively.

You should also have:

  • Relevant higher education such as a social worker, behavioral scientist, or equivalent higher education, or alternatively at least a two-year university college education (treatment pedagogue) combined with experience working within SiS or similar operations.
  • Several years of experience working within SiS or other operations focusing on care, treatment, and security, such as social services, healthcare and treatment, prison services, or other relevant activities.
  • Good ability to lead, prioritize, and coordinate a work team.

At SiS, we value good leadership. This means that as a manager and leader, you take responsibility for the whole, act as a good role model, drive development, promote good collaboration, and are clear in your communication. Read more about our leadership (#).
