The department's mission is to provide adults with guidance and education in lifelong learning. Within the department, there is also guidance and support for adults' individual development towards self-sufficiency. The department is responsible for integration and also coordinates labor market policy measures.
Description
The Individual and Family Care (IFO) is part of the Learning and Work department, together with Individual and Development, Adult Education, and the municipality's Learning Center.
IFO is responsible for authority exercise according to SoL, LVU, and LVM for children and adults, and offers outpatient care and open support. A total of about 30 people work within the operation. Our common goal is to create positive results for those we are here for.
We are now looking for social workers for our child group – two permanent positions.
IFO is divided into Child Group, Adult Group, and a shared Outpatient Care focusing on family and addiction treatment, as well as parental support and youth counseling. The Child Group consists of 12 employees, one of whom has a reception function. Two case supervisors provide support in daily work, and new social workers receive a mentor upon starting. We work family-oriented and solution-focused.
Responsibilities
As a social worker, you are responsible for:
- Authority exercise for children and youth
- Investigating children's needs, following up on outpatient interventions and placements
- In some positions in the group, it also includes recruiting, investigating, and supervising contractors, which may also be included to some extent in the sought position.
Qualifications
We are looking for you who are a trained social worker or have equivalent education that we assess as comparable. It is an advantage if you have training in Signs of Safety and/or BBIC. We would like you to have experience working in child care or other authority exercise. It is meritorious if you have experience supervising and guiding contractors.
The various operations of the department collaborate closely, which is an important success factor. Therefore, we see that you work well with other people through a responsive and communicative manner. You take responsibility for your task and plan, organize, and prioritize effectively so that deadlines are met. We see that you easily adapt to changing circumstances as the role may involve rapid changes. It is important that you act in accordance with decisions made and can maintain calm in more stressful situations.
The position requires a good ability to express oneself in speech and writing. A B driver's license is a requirement.
What We Offer You
With us, you will have the opportunity to work with ambitious and competent colleagues, where we have a clear focus on those we are here for. We work with participation and quality in a respectful manner both within and outside the unit and towards our clients.
As an employee, you will also benefit from perks such as wellness grants, wellness hours, flexible working hours, and continuous professional development.
For those who do not live in the municipality, there are commuting options such as a bike path along the Klarälvsbanan and buses from Karlstad. As a new employee within Forshaga Municipality, you will also receive 500 extra points with Forshaga Bostäder, which is enough to secure an apartment.
Conditions
Since you will be working with children and youth, we ask that you provide a criminal record extract before employment. The form to apply for a criminal record extract can be found at https://polisen.se/tjanster-tillstand/belastningsregistret/ (https://polisen.se/tjanster-tillstand/belastningsregistret/)
