Nursing Assistant to Home Care Central Ludvika

The Department of Health and Social Services is responsible for the municipality's elderly and disability care, home health care, and catering services. The department employs over 1,000 staff members. The largest group consists of healthcare personnel such as nursing assistants, personal assistants, registered nurses, and cooks. However, there are also many other professions within our operations. We are all key personnel, and our activities are characterized by employees who are engaged, responsible, and competent.

The Workplace

Home Care Central Ludvika is located in the center of Ludvika, close to services and transportation. The operation is characterized by a good working climate with a focus on collaboration, respect, and professional treatment. The work group consists of competent employees who work together to provide safe and high-quality care. There are opportunities for development and exchange of experience within the operation.

Work may also occur at other workplaces within the Department of Health and Social Services.

Job Responsibilities

In the role of a nursing assistant, you are expected to:

• Work based on the department's goals where the user is the focus.
• Perform personal care tasks such as assistance with hygiene, dressing, and showering, as well as support/help during meals.
• Perform practical tasks such as cleaning, shopping, and laundry.
• Perform health and medical tasks according to delegation.
• Maintain contact with relatives and other care providers.
• Actively contribute to the development of the operation.
• Perform administrative tasks such as planning and distribution of work, as well as documentation according to the Social Services Act.

Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you must have:

• A nursing assistant education.
• Experience working with the elderly.
• Experience using mobile phones and computers as work tools.
• A Class B driver's license.

We are looking for someone who can work independently and take responsibility within home care. You plan and perform tasks based on the user's needs, which requires initiative, flexibility, and the ability to make decisions. As a nursing assistant, you are attentive and treat every individual with respect and professionalism. The work is done both independently and together with colleagues, requiring good collaboration and communication skills.
