We are looking for a school nurse

As a school nurse at Realgymnasiet in Borlänge, you will work as part of the student health team based on the Health and Medical Services Act and the Education Act. You will collaborate closely with teachers and the student health team to contribute to the best conditions for learning for our students. The health of the student is of great importance for their academic development, and you are passionate about the well-being of every student and child.

As a School Nurse, your responsibilities include:

• Conducting health examinations, health conversations, vaccinations, minor medical interventions, and consultations with students.
• Contributing medical expertise to the school's health-promoting and preventive work at the individual, group, and organizational levels.
• Collaborating with other professionals internally as well as with other actors in the municipality or region.

You will drive the student health work together with your colleagues. The work also involves collaboration with other educational staff at the school to contribute to students' goal fulfillment. You will be part of the school's Student Health Team. We work with the student health meeting (EHM) model, which aims to provide a common forum for student health work and to focus on promoting school development.

At Realgymnasiet in Borlänge, there are about 150 students, all within the nature management program with specializations in animal care, equestrian management, and nature tourism. The school employs about 20 staff members. The position is a part-time employment of about 40%.

Qualifications

To be considered for the position, we expect you to have:

• a nursing license and a completed further education as a pediatric nurse, district nurse, or school nurse.
• Previous experience in student health within high school or other educational forms with vocational preparatory education.
