Your Responsibilities
We are looking for care staff for our special housing Lyckavägen in Leksand. If you are interested in working with us, you need to want to be involved in the development and together shape our work based on common working methods. As care staff, you will work with the elderly and assist them based on their individual needs. Responsibilities include providing personal care and contributing to making the elderly's lives safe and meaningful. We work in teams together with care staff, nurses, rehabilitation staff, and unit managers. The team also includes quality leaders and meal and activity coordinators who actively work to develop and enhance the quality of our special housing.
Responsibilities also include documentation and contact with relatives.
The positions are approximately 100% and are for a temporary employment until 2026-09-30. You will work nights, possibly in combination with evenings.
Your Profile
- We are looking for nursing assistants and caregivers.
- The job requires computer skills for documentation in IT systems.
- Good Swedish language skills, both spoken and written, are a requirement.
- You must be able to obtain and retain delegation to perform health and medical tasks.
- Previous experience in care and nursing work is advantageous.
- Knowledge and experience in working with dementia care is a plus.
The team at Lyckavägen is looking for someone with a holistic view as we want to create a common direction in our entire operation. You also need to have personal maturity to stand firm in challenging situations.
You have an empathetic ability and can understand the elderly's life situation. In your role, you will meet both the elderly and their relatives, as well as colleagues and other professionals. This means you need to be able to work together with others to achieve common working methods. The workday can sometimes be different than planned as you work with people. In these situations, you remain calm, balance different demands, and prioritize your tasks. You are respectful, open in your meetings, and always have the elderly's best interests in focus.
Since the work as care staff is physically demanding, it is important that you have good mobility and basic physical fitness.
About the Workplace
In a beautiful environment in the village of Tibble, two kilometers outside central Leksand, lies the municipality's special housing Lyckavägen, which opened in December 2021. Lyckavägen consists of four wings with modern standards and several areas for social interaction, both indoors and outdoors. There are a total of eight small units, where only nine people live per unit. At Lyckavägen, there are two units focused on dementia care.
Care staff work around the clock to support the elderly. The work is based on the individual's physical, mental, and social needs with a person-centered approach.
