The Children's and Youth Clinic is a regional clinic. In Falun, there is a well-developed inpatient care, day care, and outpatient clinic where various subspecialties of pediatrics are represented. The pediatric outpatient clinic is part of our "hospital within a hospital" - a safe, close, and specialized unit where we care for children of all ages with various pediatric diagnoses. Here, 15 nurses and 3 nursing assistants work closely with doctors, physiotherapists, social workers, dietitians, and play therapists. Our strong team spirit and good collaborative climate are something we are proud of!

Nurse in Pediatric Medicine with a focus on diabetes Job Responsibilities

We are looking for a licensed nurse with a genuine interest in the health of children and adolescents and in diabetes care.

Experience in pediatric nursing is an asset, and we place great importance on personal suitability. To thrive with us, we believe you are solution-focused, resilient, flexible, and a good team player who can also work independently. An interest in technology is an important part as diabetes care today involves many technical aids, insulin pumps, sensors, and digital systems for optimal blood sugar control.

The job involves about 50% focus on diabetes in children and adolescents. This includes work with diabetes doctor appointments, your own nurse appointments, targeted telephone advice, starting up insulin pumps, sensors, and patient education about diabetes and self-care for family and school both at the onset of the disease and later.

The remaining approximately 50% involves regular tasks at the pediatric clinic such as

• Telephone advice
• Spirometry
• Advice to other healthcare facilities caring for children
• Sample collection

We are looking for someone who

• is a licensed nurse
• has been professionally active for at least three years
• has experience working with children and adolescents in healthcare

It is an advantage if you

• have further education in healthcare for children
