Develop and Counteract Food Fraud at the Swedish Food Agency
Do you want to help take the Swedish Food Agency to the next level in the work to counteract food fraud? We are looking for a driven individual who is curious and eager to develop, guide, and support various stakeholders in these issues together with us.
Your Role
The Swedish Food Agency is responsible for coordinating food control at the national level. Your role is to contribute to the ongoing development to counteract food fraud. You will be part of a working group primarily focused on preventing and combating food fraud. In this group, we support and guide control authorities on issues related to food fraud.
Tasks included in the position involve monitoring, administering, and developing our communication channels as well as our methods for gathering information and data within the field. In your role, you will prepare for and represent the Swedish Food Agency, and where applicable Sweden, in meetings with external stakeholders, both in Sweden and other European countries. We have close cooperation with other units within the Agency, meaning you will also work on other subject areas within the department. You will have excellent opportunities to expand your knowledge within the food sector.
Together with your colleagues, you will take responsibility for the organization's common mission and resources, as well as the needs of target groups. Furthermore, you will make thoughtful priorities in your work and deliver in accordance with set goals. You will monitor the external environment to gain new perspectives, maintain relevant competence, and adapt your work to the organization's requirements and conditions.
The Food Fraud Unit
We are currently a team of four employees handling issues related to food fraud. Facilitating companies to do the right thing is one of the Swedish Food Agency's prioritized goals. We also support control authorities and other stakeholders in the issues the unit and department work on.
Your Competence
We are looking for someone with an academic degree. It is required that you have at least three years of current experience from relevant work for the position.
- You have experience in leading projects and have held a coordinating or investigative role in your work.
- You have experience of collaborating with external stakeholders, such as authorities and the food industry.
- You must have good knowledge of both food legislation and the food industry.
It is an asset if you have experience working with food control, food companies, or within the food industry. We also welcome experience in IT projects and contributing to digitalization. Experience working at an authority or within the public sector is also an asset.
Good language skills in both Swedish and English, both spoken and written, are required.
