About the Position

We are now looking for an experienced Project Manager for a consulting assignment at a research institute in Gothenburg. In the role of project manager, you will lead process reviews and drive improvement work within finance and internal control. As a project manager, your main responsibilities will include reviewing and updating documentation for the revenue process, identifying process risks, developing relevant key controls, and creating an updated risk and control matrix.

You will work closely with the accounting and controller team, aiming to develop a project group with the right competencies to ensure effective implementation.

The position includes the following tasks:

• Lead and plan a project related to the review of the revenue process
• Map and analyze existing processes, activities, and documentation
• Identify process risks and current control deficiencies
• Develop and design relevant key controls
• Update and structure the risk and control matrix (RKM)
• Ensure that documentation is adapted for implementation in the ICFR framework
• Collaborate closely with the accounting and controller team
• Identify necessary competencies and establish a project group
• Coordinate and facilitate meetings, workshops, and reviews
• Provide recommendations for implementing the updated risk and control matrix
• Drive the project forward and ensure delivery within time and quality
• Report project status and progress to relevant stakeholders

Assignment Period and Scope:

The project manager position is a full-time consulting assignment starting in April/May and is expected to last for three (3) months. The assignment is on-site at the research institute's premises in Gothenburg.

Requirements for the Position:

• Extensive experience in leading complex development projects within a finance/controller function involving IT and communication.
• Good experience in dialogues with project roles in a research organization.
• Competence in accounting and process management with a focus on mapping risks and controls as well as control effectiveness in a transaction-intensive business.
• Experience in mixed operations focusing on multiple delivery streams.
• Experience with research-related funding.
• Good experience in project accounting for complex projects with sometimes long durations.
• Ability to compile and present work results and decision-making materials clearly and concisely from a large amount of information and data streams.
• Documented experience in the form of two (2) similar reference assignments; more are meritorious.

Meritorious for the Position:

• Senior experience in leading development projects within the finance and compliance area.
• Previous experience in leading similar projects in organizations with mixed streams and working with the IFS system and internal control in project-related research activities.
• Solid experience in project management and work with risk and internal control.
