About the Business

Regiontryckeriet is the internal printing house of Västra Götaland Region – an important resource that provides high-quality printed materials to all regional operations.

We are a small, dedicated team responsible for the entire chain from idea and design to finished product. Based in Västra Götaland, we work closely with our clients and offer everything from digital printing and large format production to professional design. Our daily work is characterized by collaboration, service, and a strong interest in color, design, and typography.

About the Job

As a prepress operator with us, you will play a central role in production. You will primarily work with:

• Prepress production and adaptation of materials according to Västra Götaland Region's visual identity
• Ensuring quality throughout the process, from idea to print-ready product
• Color management, typography, and layout in our various production types – from business cards to large format
• Administrative tasks such as record keeping and management in our e-commerce system
• Ongoing contact with clients and close collaboration with colleagues in the team

With us, you will have the opportunity to work broadly within printed materials production and contribute to the further development of our visual and technical delivery. As we are a smaller department, flexibility and collaboration are central parts of daily work – everyone helps each other where needed.

About You

To thrive and succeed in this role, we see that you have:

Education and Experience

• Education in printed materials production or equivalent
• Several years of experience in the industry
• Experience working in the public sector is an advantage
• Experience in post-processing and working with large format printers is also an advantage

Skills

• Very good knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud, especially InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, and Acrobat
• Good familiarity with Microsoft Office suite
• Ability to translate ideas and sketches into finished originals

• Detail-oriented, structured, and confident in your professional role
• Easy to collaborate and accustomed to client contact
• Solution-oriented and stress-resistant, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• A genuine interest in color, design, and typography
• Flexible and positive about the fact that tasks and conditions can change quickly
