About the Unit

The Defense Staff's Infrastructure Department HKV FST STÖD INFRA is part of the Headquarters and leads and directs the procurement, maintenance, and decommissioning of all infrastructure within the Armed Forces. The Infrastructure Department also leads the work on national interest monitoring, environmental and sustainability issues, and environmental permit applications.

Through strategic management of planning for the expansion of buildings, facilities, and land areas, we enable the growth of the Armed Forces – in a way that protects the environment, sustainability, and our common national interests. Here you will take responsibility, build experience, and contribute to Sweden's strength – both militarily and environmentally.

Main Responsibilities

As a staff assistant at the Defense Staff's Infrastructure Department, your primary task will be to support the planning and execution of the department's staff service. A central element of the staff service will be the analysis and distribution of incoming service tasks to the sections within the department.

You will also work with staff administrative tasks such as drafting documents, minutes, bookings, orders, updating collaboration platforms, order requests, shift planning in PRIO, preparation and compilation of materials in various management systems.

REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications

• Current completed military service or GMU in the Armed Forces
• Completed staff assistant training within the Armed Forces
• Completed high school education with passing grades
• Good ability to express yourself verbally and in writing in Swedish and English
• Good experience in using most of the Microsoft Office applications in a computer environment
• Driver's license B

Meritorious

• Experience as a staff assistant, intelligence assistant, or combat assistant
• Experience with FM management support systems (Prio, Vidar, SWECCIS, ISUS, Sharepoint)
• Experience from previous or current employment within the Armed Forces

Employment form: GSS-K, the employment begins with a 6-month probationary period.

At the Headquarters, there is the Supreme Commander and the Director General. The Headquarters has about 1,000 employees – both professional officers and civilian experts. As of 2023-01-01, the Headquarters consists of the Defense Staff, operations management, military intelligence and security services, as well as the Headquarters' staff department and independent supervisory units.
