Description

In our vast municipality, we have four care and nursing homes:

• Enådal (central Rättvik) Care and nursing home.
• Prästskogen (central Rättvik) Care and nursing home.
• Backåkern (Boda Kyrkby) Care and nursing home and respite care places.
• Orestrand (Furudal) Care and nursing home.

As we are facing a generational shift, we are now looking for nursing assistants for our care and nursing homes. We are looking for both permanent positions and longer temporary contracts for Enådal, Prästskogen, Backåkern, and Orestrand. In your application, you choose which of our homes you are interested in working at.

Job Description

As a nursing assistant in a care and nursing home, your tasks will involve providing care, support, and service in close dialogue with our care recipients. You will perform medical interventions on behalf of a nurse and work with rehabilitative measures based on individual plans established by an occupational therapist and physiotherapist.

A day may include:

• Setting up and serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
• Assisting our care recipients with personal hygiene.
• Engaging in activities with our care recipients, such as going for a walk or reading a newspaper together.
• Changing bed linens and washing bedding.

As a nursing assistant, you will also be responsible for documentation, follow-up, and reporting changes in the health status of the care recipient.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who is a trained nursing assistant. Experience in elderly care is an advantage. We prefer candidates with experience working with individuals with dementia.

As a person, you are service-oriented, self-reliant, and have good collaboration skills. You are confident in yourself and can easily adapt to changing circumstances.

We use digital and technical tools in our daily work, so good digital competence is essential for thriving in the role and performing well. Since good care relies on your knowledge and effective communication between you, our care recipients, and other staff members, proficiency in the Swedish language, both spoken and written, is required.
