Job Responsibilities

We are now looking for a support pedagogue for Glöstorp Röseväg BmSS!

Glöstorp Röseväg is located in Tuve on Northern Hisingen with close proximity to good public transport connections.

The residence has 8 tenants.

As a support pedagogue, you have a key role with overall responsibility for the quality work, methods, and working approaches of the organization. You support and guide your colleagues in their daily work with the users and their individual needs. In your role, you participate in network meetings with other educators, key persons, and unit managers from our operations and contribute to strengthening the collaborative forms between the units within disability services. You also collaborate with relatives, guardians, and daily activities to ensure the user receives good care, support, and service. Another focus area will be to follow up and develop the social documentation in the organization. Part of your role will be to inspire others to try new things and explore. As support in your work, you will receive supervision from our method developer, and in many matters, you will work in consultation with the unit manager.

In addition to your work as a support pedagogue, you will also have regular tasks as a support assistant. The work may involve challenging behaviors. Working hours are only scheduled during weekdays in the daytime. Since we collaborate with other units, you need to be prepared for some of your work to also take place in other operations.

Qualifications

For the position of support pedagogue, a post-secondary specialization in the field of disability services is required, which includes at least 200 YH points, 120 university credits, or 60 university credits with two years of work experience with people with disabilities. The education should have relevant points in behavioral science, pedagogy, psychology, social work, and (psychiatric) care or other education deemed equivalent by the employer.

The position requires previous experience working with individuals with neuropsychiatric diagnoses and experience with LAB (low-arousal approach).

It is advantageous if you have experience with ESL (independent living) and AAC (alternative augmentative communication), as well as knowledge of pedagogical approaches.

For the assignment, it is important to have good computer skills and to be comfortable working with various IT support.
