Your Responsibilities

In the role of Contract Development Engineer (CDE), you will be a central part of Saab's outsourced development assignments – that is, work performed by external suppliers and resources. You will be responsible for coordinating and driving the technical activities required to initiate, follow up, and ensure the delivery of these assignments. In this role, you will ensure that the work is carried out and delivered in accordance with Saab's requirements, standards, and expectations.

The role is varied and includes, among other things:

• Representing the development department in the procurement team. • Collecting the technical requirements for the product/service. • Compiling the technical information in the request for quotation. • Coordinating and performing technical evaluation of bids. • Creating Statement of Work (SOW) together with relevant parties. • Coordinating and overseeing oversight activities and technical reviews. • Ensuring that quality and functionality are achieved according to requirements. • Ensuring correct configuration management of the results. • Ensuring proper documentation.

Your Profile

For this role, we are looking for someone with a technical background and work experience in the field. You thrive in a coordinating role where you can combine technology, structure, and leadership.

To succeed in this role, we see that you:

• Are a graduate engineer or have equivalent education.

• Have several years of experience in product development and requirements management.

• Have a good technical understanding and the ability to grasp complex systems.

• Have experience leading or coordinating technical activities.

• Have good knowledge of both Swedish and English, spoken and written.

The position requires you to undergo and be approved according to the applicable regulations for security protection. For positions where Saab has requirements for security classification, there may be requirements for certain citizenship.
