Special Flight Squadron at Skaraborg Air Wing is Hiring

The Special Flight Squadron at Skaraborg Air Wing conducts flight services with radar and signal intelligence aircraft, transport flights, flight maintenance services, and work related to continued airworthiness. The squadron is an operational unit and can be deployed on short notice for missions both nationally and internationally.

Main Task

The main task of the company is to meet the Special Flight Squadron's need for airworthy aircraft over time; fpl 102 (Gulfstream GIV) and fpl 100 (Saab 340) according to planned flight hours. The operations involve participation in the responsibility for ensuring that assigned flight hour production and flight maintenance are carried out in a cost-effective and airworthy manner. The operations are primarily conducted at Malmen but also at other locations, both nationally and internationally.

Material Platoon

The Material Platoon provides part of the squadron's logistics and technical support. The platoon mainly solves two parts: storage and material service as well as technical maintenance of vehicles and equipment. The platoon's activities are directed towards the main task of creating conditions for flights with fpl 100 and fpl 102. The platoon is responsible for supplying the squadron with required materials and spare parts during both peace and crisis and war.

Main Responsibilities

The main responsibilities consist primarily of material supply for flight maintenance and cargo handling as well as managing the unit's materials related to flight maintenance services. We use several data systems to work systematically with inventory management and flight safety. Our work is varied and challenging, which requires good initiative and a sense of responsibility. We are constantly working on efficiency and development within our functional area.

REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications

  • Approved high school education
  • Driving license B for manual transmission
  • Good knowledge of English in both spoken and written form
  • Good experience working in a digital computer environment including the Office suite
  • Swedish citizenship and approved security and background check

Meritorious

  • ADR training
  • Extended driving license categories C/CE
  • Experience in material service/storage service.
  • Experience in maintenance of materials, vehicles, and units.
  • Basic military training, GMU, or equivalent

The position requires physical and mental capability, execution of business trips, participation in training and exercises in the war organization. Since both the position and the tasks are linked to a war organization, you will also be placed in our organization for war.
