Do you want to work in a future-oriented industry with a focus on global electrification? Gränges is making significant investments in battery cathode foil and is in an expansion phase with a new factory in Finspång. We are now looking for a Process Development Engineer who wants to take a key role in cutting technology in our battery cathode foil manufacturing and help develop both technology, quality, and working methods in a strategically important market segment. Welcome with your application!
About the Role
As a process development engineer in cutting technology in our battery cathode foil manufacturing, you will belong to the Technology Organization and report to the Technology Manager. You will be responsible for driving and developing the process development work related to the cutting process – an area with very high quality requirements and significant impact on the final product's functionality and customer satisfaction.
The business is in a construction and expansion phase, which means that you will not only develop and optimize processes but also help shape structures, standards, and working methods moving forward. You will work closely with production, product development, and Research & Innovation, and have external contacts with suppliers and customers.
Main Responsibilities:

- Increase productivity and efficiency in cutting operations
- Implement and further develop vision systems
- Contribute to the development of working methods and standards in a growing business area
The role combines operational presence in production – which takes place in a cleanroom environment – with more long-term and strategic development work.
About You
We are looking for someone with a few years of experience in process development within the manufacturing or process industry. Experience with cutting aluminum or other metal processing is advantageous, as is experience with vision systems or technical programming. You have a master's degree or equivalent technical academic education, for example in mechanical engineering, materials science, or physics. You have good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
As a person, you are proactive and driven by improvement work. You are self-sufficient and structured, but at the same time a team player who is happy to share your knowledge. You thrive in an environment where everything is not predefined and where you can help build new working methods. Your communication skills and problem-solving abilities will help you succeed in a role with many contact points and high quality requirements.
