Technical Team Leader
We believe that progress and opportunities are best created together. Welcome to a place where collaboration makes a difference.
Your Role
As a technical team leader, you will play a central role in planning, coordinating, and driving the work within testing and verification. Together with the projects, you will break down tasks into concrete tasks, distribute them within the team, and ensure a clear timeline at the team level. You will keep track of individual workloads and lead weekly check-ins to create structure and progress.
In parallel, you will work technically with testing and verification of systems and subsystems in our facilities. This includes writing test programs and specifications as well as conducting and reporting tests. You will also work with integration, deployment, and validation of vessel systems at the customer site and conduct functional tests using simulators.
You will be part of a team with a strong forward momentum and close collaboration where we together create results and develop, both professionally and personally. We value community, diversity, and a pleasant work environment with stimulating tasks. Travel to our customers will be part of your work and may occur both within Sweden and abroad. Therefore, we expect you to have a valid driver's license (B).
Your Profile
To thrive in this role, you should appreciate the combination of working closely with customers and in a team with your colleagues. The work requires the ability to structure, plan, and prepare together with the team and then travel to where the deployment takes place. We prefer that you have previous leadership experience, or that you have the ambition and desire to grow into a leadership role. You are communicative, organized, and have an easy time building trust in collaborations.
We are looking for someone who has:
- A Master's degree in systems engineering, electronics, measurement technology, software, or a related field, or equivalent experience
- Good knowledge of English and Swedish, both spoken and written
- Good system familiarity and experience in troubleshooting
It is an advantage if you have:
- Experience in verification, testing, and evaluation of systems
- Experience in planning and breaking down tasks
The position requires you to undergo and be approved according to the applicable regulations for security protection. For positions where Saab has requirements for security classification, there may be requirements for certain citizenship.
What You Will Be Part Of
Discover endless possibilities. Take on challenges, create smart innovations, and upgrade your skills. This is a place for clever thinkers, brave pioneers, and everyone in between. Together, we achieve the extraordinary, each bringing their unique perspective. Every contribution counts.
Saab is a leading defense and security company with the purpose of helping nations protect their populations and contribute to the safety of people and communities. With 28,000 talented employees, Saab develops technology and solutions for a safer and more sustainable world.
Saab develops, manufactures, and maintains advanced systems in aviation, weapons, command and control systems, sensors, and underwater systems. Saab has its headquarters in Sweden but operates globally, being part of many nations' defense capabilities.
