Magelungen Utveckling is an employee-owned company that offers qualified treatment and change work for children, adolescents, young adults, and their families. Magelungen conducts treatment as well as resource schools at primary and secondary levels. The goal is to create a context in the operations that is manageable, meaningful, and understandable. About us

At Magelungen's operation in Uppsala, we offer resource school (grades 7-9) in combination with structured outpatient care, treatment school, and home-sitting programs. The youth we meet often have social, psychosocial, or neuropsychiatric difficulties, and many have a long history of school absence. To help these young people achieve a functioning school attendance, we work with small scale, high staff density, enhanced social support, and individually designed arrangements based on each youth's conditions and needs.

We have a systemic and salutogenic perspective where the focus is on working with the whole and building on what works. Our goal is to offer a context where all young people can have a chance to succeed based on their conditions.

About the position

You will work with teaching and support at both individual and group levels. We offer a smaller context with adapted group teaching and individual arrangements. An important part of our daily work is to empower students by focusing on their resources and competencies, to work together towards the students' own goals. The focus of the assignment is teaching, coaching, and strengthening, confirming, and supporting students both in teaching and outside the classroom. The work includes planning, implementing, and evaluating the educational work together with educators. You work closely with colleagues from different professions and are curious and eager to learn more about approaches and methods based on the fact that our target group consists of students in need of extensive support.

Qualifications

We are looking for a licensed teacher with previous experience working in primary school. It is an advantage if you are qualified in crafts, art, technology, home economics, physics, and religion. We place great importance on personal suitability. It is important that you are flexible and want to be part of a context where collaboration with your colleagues is a central part of the assignment. You enjoy working with school development, special educational issues, new research, and are open to thinking in new ways. The school is aimed solely at students with extensive needs for special support, and therefore we would like you to have experience working with the current student category.

Employment form

Temporary position part-time or full-time (depending on your qualifications). Start in August 2026. Possibility of permanent employment for qualified teachers.
