About the Institute for Human Rights

We advocate for Sweden to respect, protect, and promote human rights. Our vision is a society where every person enjoys their human rights.

We started in 2022 and operate in accordance with the Paris Principles, which are the international standards for national human rights institutions.

Our work is led by a board with a director responsible for the operations at the office located in Lund. The organization consists of three units, and you will be placed in the unit for management and operational support.

As a summer substitute registrar and HR administrator, you will work with both record-keeping and various HR administrative tasks.

You will daily monitor the registrar's inbox and record incoming and outgoing mail. Additionally, you will assist colleagues with the registration of documents during the vacation period.

As an HR administrator, you will assist with administrative tasks within the HR area. You will help with administration related to potential recruitments, such as writing employment contracts, decisions, and inviting to our onboarding portal. Furthermore, you will need to update content and information both in the onboarding portal and on the intranet. The position also includes functioning as a backup for management support to the agency's management during absences, which involves answering the phone and monitoring emails.

To be considered for the job, we would like you to have:

  • A degree in human resources or equivalent knowledge that the employer assesses as comparable
  • Experience in record-keeping in a government agency
  • Experience in personnel administrative work within a government agency
  • Good experience working with various administrative systems

We would also prefer if you have:

  • Good knowledge of and experience working with document and case management systems, personnel administrative systems, and SharePoint

Knowledge of the systems used by the institute is considered an asset as it is a short summer substitute position. It is also an advantage if you have knowledge of one or more of the national minority languages, Swedish sign language, and/or one or more other languages spoken by many in Sweden.

Skills

We are looking for someone who is a skilled administrator and enjoys a service role. You need to be self-driven but communicative and responsible to know when to contact a colleague on duty.
