The Swedish Armed Forces is looking for an Infrastructure Officer

About the Regimental Staff

As an Infrastructure Officer, you will belong to the regimental staff as a staff member, which requires participation in preparation or working groups as an expert in your function. The regimental staff operates across all areas of work, and your role will be key in further developing the staff's capabilities. The operations at the regiment are event-driven and often unpredictable with many points of contact, which means you must be able to navigate and balance different interests both within and outside the organization.

Main Responsibilities

In the role of Infrastructure Officer, you will work closely with the Fortifications Agency, the property owner of the Armed Forces. You will work with everything from finances related to the regiment's infrastructure to meetings and preparations related to new constructions. As an officer, you will contribute expertise regarding properties and management where many tasks are project-based. More concretely, you will work with:

  • Invoice management
  • Participation in investigations regarding space utilization
  • Meetings regarding procurement/new construction
  • Collaboration with internal and external stakeholders and contractors

Qualifications

To be considered for the position, you need:

  • Previous work experience related to the infrastructure area
  • Very good administrative skills and proficiency in the Office suite
  • Good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in Swedish
  • Driver's license B manual transmission
  • Approved upper secondary education

Personal Qualities

As an Infrastructure Officer, you need to be accustomed to working independently with a high degree of responsibility. You should be confident in your skills and clear in your communication with various parties. We also believe that you enjoy collaborating and interacting with others and are persistent in planning, driving, and executing projects (structured). To succeed in the role, you have the ability to see the big picture by translating your tasks and connecting them to the larger context. We also see that the role requires you to be flexible.

Meritorious

  • Higher education with a social orientation or other education deemed equivalent by the employer
  • Work experience as an officer within an authority
  • Experience working within the Armed Forces.
  • Experience in project management
  • Experience with IT systems Sharepoint and SAP/Prio

Employment form: Permanent, the Armed Forces applies a six-month probationary period for those who are not employed by the authority.

The Southern Skåne Regiment is also known as P 7. P stands for armor as the regiment primarily uses armored vehicles. We conduct military basic training for conscripts in ground combat, mechanized, and motorized combat with support from our main vehicles, which are: Stridsvagn 122, Stridsfordon 9040C, and Pansarterrängbil 360.

P 7 has full-time and part-time personnel serving in their various positions nationally and internationally.
