Habilitation is specialized healthcare for children and adolescents with autism, intellectual disabilities, movement disabilities, or acquired brain injuries. We provide health-promoting and therapeutic interventions based on each individual's unique needs and circumstances, and we have specialist knowledge of how disabilities can affect daily life, health, and development.

Responsibilities

Your responsibilities include mapping activity ability and activity level, as well as treating and teaching strategies to facilitate daily life. You will trial, prescribe, and follow up on individually adapted aids. Providing information, guidance, and consultation to patients, relatives, and staff, as well as collaborating with other healthcare providers and authorities, is also part of your responsibilities. The work takes place in the habilitation facilities and based on the needs in the patient's local environment. All interventions are planned together with the patient and occur both in groups and individually. You will be offered an introductory period and good opportunities for collegial supervision from an appointed mentor, as well as regular professional meetings.

Qualifications

You must be a licensed occupational therapist. Experience working with children and adolescents with disabilities is an advantage. Collaboration skills, flexibility, and a good attitude are essential for us, so great importance is placed on personal suitability. The position involves travel, so a B driver's license is required.
