About our job opening

We can now offer a permanent position as an optometrist within our eye care department.

Are you interested in working daytime in outpatient care and with technical equipment in healthcare? Then this is the job for you!

We are SÄS's largest outpatient clinic with about 32,000 patient visits per year. The work here involves varied outpatient tasks. You will handle short patient meetings with a good attitude. As an optometrist with us, you will meet patients with various eye diseases and of all ages. We work with, among other things, pediatric ophthalmology, medical retina, glaucoma, eye injections, and surgeries. We offer you a job with personal development opportunities in the field.

At the eye clinic, you will work with preparatory examinations for doctor appointments, your own consultations, and telephone advice. We have many different medical technical machines to assist with various types of eye examinations that you, as an optometrist, will learn to use.

This position is only daytime, free from weekends, Monday to Friday, with working hours from 07:30 to 16:30.

About us

The eye clinic is located in Borås and Skene, and in Borås, we also have an eye surgery department. Here, we employ ophthalmic nurses, surgical nurses, general nurses, optometrists, orthoptists, nursing assistants, medical secretaries, administrative assistants, and doctors. We have two unit managers and a medical chief. Together, we are around 90 employees.

Your profile

You who are applying are a licensed optometrist and have experience in the profession. We consider it an advantage if you have experience from previous outpatient work in eye care. We place great emphasis on your personal qualities. You are flexible and can handle variation in both tasks and pace. You find it easy to collaborate with others and have the ability to keep work flowing positively. You also have social skills, which for us means that you enjoy and find it easy to meet colleagues and patients.
