About the job

Bräddegården's nursing home is located in Råda, a couple of kilometers outside Lidköping's center. The nursing home is surrounded by beautiful nature with horse pastures, forests, and hiking trails.

We are now looking for a nursing assistant who wants to work with us and be part of our team. As an employee with us, you will have an important and meaningful job where you make a difference for our residents every day!

A major renovation and reconstruction will take place at Bräddegården in the near future, which will continue for a period of time.

Job responsibilities

As a care staff member, you will meet the needs of the care recipients. Respect for people's self-determination and integrity is the foundation of your work, and you are expected to provide good care and support. The work consists of care tasks tailored to the individual. You assist users in their homes with hygiene, social interaction, stimulation, and activation. You will also need to perform certain health and medical care as well as rehabilitative interventions as prescribed by a nurse, physiotherapist, and occupational therapist. You work independently but have good collaboration skills and actively participate in teamwork.

Your workday is guided by the needs and wishes of the users, and you work from an activating approach. We are here for them, and together with the rest of the team, you plan and are responsible for your work through implementation plans.

As a nursing assistant, you will also work with case management for one or more users, building a safe and sustainable relationship between colleagues, your users, and their relatives. In case management, you are responsible for ensuring that implementation plans are established, followed up, and revised. Your work includes ongoing documentation.

Who are you?

We are looking for someone who takes responsibility for their tasks, has the ability to create security, and understands the needs of the users. As a person, you have the ability to take initiative and build trusting relationships based on care and empathy. It is natural for you to work independently but also to collaborate actively in a team. You need to have a sense of order and the ability to handle stress, as there may be busier periods during the day that require flexibility in planning your work with colleagues and taking responsibility for your tasks by completing started tasks and following routines.

You also need to be able to work while renovations are ongoing at the facility, and there may also be periods where you will work at another location during parts of the renovation period.

Each unit consists of teams with different professional categories. Everyone in the team collaborates based on their expertise and a holistic view of the user. A cohesive close support creates security for the user. Quick adjustments and adaptations in support occur as needed.

Jobs in care and support suit you if you can work irregular hours and want to perform work that is valuable to people who need support in their daily lives.

Requirements:

• To be employed as a nursing assistant, you need to attach proof of a protected professional title or a certificate from your current employer confirming that you had a permanent position as a nursing assistant as of July 1, 2023.
• Proficiency in Swedish in speech and writing, as well as good reading comprehension.
• Basic digital competence.

Meritorious:

Experience of similar work, training as a supervisor, language representative training, or further education in dementia or elderly care. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.

Conditions

We are looking for a nursing assistant for a permanent position at 100%, with immediate start according to agreement. The employer offers full-time but there is an opportunity for a desired degree of employment.

You will work scheduled hours such as days, evenings, and weekends.

Your employment will be within Social Welfare Lidköping Municipality, with placement at Bräddegården's Nursing Home, which means that you may also work in other units.
