Description
We are now looking for a colleague for a parental leave substitute in our wonderful occupational therapy group at Kungälv Hospital.
We are a smaller hospital with a strong sense of community, close leadership, and good opportunities to broaden within various areas.
We are a group of 13 occupational therapists and one rehabilitation assistant working within somatic inpatient care – with a particular focus on geriatrics, medicine, surgery, and orthopedics. In addition to somatics, we also work in outpatient care with hand injuries, cancer rehabilitation, and stroke home rehabilitation. In the spring, we will also start an elderly care team in the emergency department where the occupational therapist plays an important role. Here, you will meet an experienced and competent team that is eager to share their knowledge and help each other grow! As a newcomer to the group, you will receive an individually tailored introduction with an assigned mentor who supports you in a safe manner.
Organizationally
The Occupational Therapy belongs to the Rehabilitation Unit together with physiotherapy, speech therapy, social workers, dieticians, stroke home rehabilitation teams, mobile palliative teams, care collaboration teams, palliative pain, and neuropsychology. The Rehabilitation Unit is part of the operational area of Geriatrics, Neurology, and Rehabilitation at the Hospitals in the West.
Job Responsibilities
We are looking for you who want to become part of our team and primarily work with some of our inpatient departments. You have the opportunity to combine which inpatient departments you are placed in based on your previous experiences and wishes.
As an occupational therapist with us, you work person-centered, primarily with geriatric patients. You participate in interdisciplinary teams and support patients in regaining function and independence after illness or injury. Your tasks include assessment, mapping, and implementation of occupational therapy interventions. Rehabilitation is patient-centered, and in stroke, rehabilitation is based on, among other things, the national guidelines for stroke care. Patients' rehabilitation is planned together in an interdisciplinary team, and we value teamwork and a good working climate.
We work with continuous development and improvement of the operations, where all our employees play an important role.
Qualifications
We are looking for you who are a licensed occupational therapist. You are curious, flexible, and structured, and have a natural ability to collaborate with both internal and external parties as well as create security in meetings with patients and colleagues.
You have an empathetic approach, thrive in a team, and contribute to a good working environment. Experience in hospital care, especially in medicine and/or neurology, is an advantage – but most important is your motivation, commitment, and willingness to contribute to good care and rehabilitation.
Healthcare and rehabilitation are constantly evolving, and as this changes, we are looking for you who thrive in an environment where new working methods are emerging. You easily adapt, contribute to improvement and development work, and want to be part of driving employee-driven operational development, where your ideas and initiatives have space.
We place great emphasis on your personal qualities such as collaboration skills, initiative, and problem-solving. We prefer that you can handle varying workloads with a calm and secure approach. The work often involves several parallel tasks, and we support each other across area boundaries to create structure in the workday. Therefore, we value that you are flexible, can shift focus, and reprioritize when needed.
About the Position

The employment is a temporary position for 1 year with immediate start according to agreement.
