About Us

Ward 366 is a specialist psychiatric inpatient ward with the mission to care for individuals in bipolar disorder episodes. We also care for patients with other affective disorders, such as depression and anxiety syndromes. The ward has 15 beds.

Care is planned and organized based on a team structure where the patient's individual care needs are the focus. In addition to acute and relapse-preventive medical treatment, care and nursing interventions are tailored according to the type of issues and where the patient is in the recovery process. The ward has a close collaboration with the bipolar outpatient clinic, which is the largest specialist clinic for bipolar disorder in the country.

As a new nurse assistant, you will have experienced colleagues by your side – during the introduction and as long as you need support. We know that good collaboration is key to both good care and a well-functioning staff group. Therefore, we actively work to maintain a supportive learning culture where we take care of and learn from each other every day. Working hours are based on a five-week schedule, and as a nurse assistant, you will work two weekends out of five.

Job Responsibilities

As a nurse assistant, you will work within a team structure, where you, together with nurses, social workers, and doctors, identify and meet the patients' needs for care, nursing, and support. In your daily work, you will be responsible for the care of inpatients. You will have an in-depth responsibility for the patients assigned to you as a contact person. Together with the responsible nurse, you will plan how the care and support for these patients should look through the different phases of the illness. You will hold caring conversations and work to create good relationships with the patients' relatives. You will follow up on nursing plans and document in the patient journal.
