Lindbergs School is a rural school located north of Varberg, about a 15-minute drive from the center. Here, students are given the opportunity to spend their primary school years from preschool class up to grade 9 in a peaceful environment characterized by safety. The school has about 400 students, and 150 students start and finish their school day at the after-school program.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Do you want to help lay the foundation for children's lifelong learning? We are now looking for an engaged and curious teacher for the preschool class at Lindbergs School.

With us, you will work alongside two experienced colleagues who are passionate about the preschool class's mission and have a strong interest in developing children's early reading and writing skills. Together, you will create a safe, stimulating, and educational environment where every child has the opportunity to grow.

Your mission

As a teacher in the preschool class, you will work to:

• Stimulate children's language and thinking by actively developing their vocabulary and understanding of the world.
• Lay a solid foundation for reading and writing through playful and structured methods.
• Support students in their roles in play and contribute to developing their social interactions.
• Help children with conflict resolution and guide them in expressing feelings and needs.
• Promote understanding of everyone's equal value, cooperation, and good social relationships.

Your greatest drive is to motivate and inspire students. Together with your colleagues, you will shape a relational leadership where the quality of teaching is the focus. We create the best possible meeting for learning.

As a preschool teacher in the preschool class with us in Varberg Municipality, you play a central role in creating a safe, developing, and motivating environment for students. By planning, implementing, and following up on your varied teaching, you give students the opportunity to develop both socially and academically. You work to strengthen their imagination, curiosity, and self-esteem through play, creativity, and movement.

Together with your colleagues, you plan and follow up on the preschool class's teaching based on your choices of pedagogical and didactic strategies and methods, adapted to the students' needs and conditions. You meet each student in their knowledge progression and contribute to developing learning environments that encourage students' learning, participation, and influence.

You have a good structure in your work and can adapt teaching based on students' needs and the school's goals. Together, we are responsible for creating a sustainable work environment where both students and staff feel good, can grow, and develop.
