IT Team Leader at the Swedish Forest Agency

Our IT environment includes everything from world-leading image analysis and AI models for detecting forest damage to custom-built web-based systems, data warehouses, and standard solutions. Your Role and Responsibilities
As a team leader, you will be a key person in our operations group. You will work practically with operations and management while also having a leading role in the daily work of the operations team.
You will work with:
- Daily operations in the Swedish Forest Agency's existing Microsoft and/or Linux environments
- Troubleshooting, improving, and contributing solutions to existing Windows and/or Linux systems and applications
- Planning and installing new technical solutions
- Being a driving force in the development and improvement of operational processes, guidelines, and routines
- Leading and facilitating various types of meetings within the operations group, e.g., weekly operations meetings and retrospectives
- Planning and distributing work within the operations group
- Supporting colleagues and contributing to team development
- Being one of the contact persons for other groups in the organization
- Actively working with the operations group's management plan and long-term planning.
We work closely together in a team where knowledge is shared and challenges are solved collectively.
Qualifications and Your Skills
We are looking for someone who has:
- At least 5 years of experience working as a development-oriented systems technician within an organization with custom-developed systems
- Experience with methodologies based on, e.g., ITIL, Change release
- Experience with tools that support collaboration with software development teams, e.g., Azure DevOps Services.
- At least 1 year of active technical work in: Linux container solutions and Docker/Kubernetes
- Experience leading teams, projects, or coordinating work efforts
- Good ability to structure and prioritize work
- Strong communication skills and the ability to express yourself verbally and in writing in Swedish.
- Higher education/YH in IT or equivalent experience.
Desirable skills:
- Experience with monitoring solutions (e.g., SCOM)
- Experience in Incident Management
- Knowledge of hybrid/on-prem environments with both Microsoft, Azure, and Linux
- Experience in automation via scripts (e.g., Terraform, Infrastructure as code)
- Management of container solutions using Rancher.

Our Offer to You
We offer a permanent full-time position with individual salary setting. The employment begins with a 6-month probationary period. Start date according to agreement.
