Then this may be the position for you! We are now looking for an IT Security Specialist for Highland IT.

Your New Job

As an IT Security Specialist, your role will involve working operationally with the organization's IT security. It also includes continuously following developments in the IT security field to recommend and apply suitable methods and techniques in preventive security work.

The job entails educating, informing, and supporting various projects and activities within the organization, as well as serving as a competence support in matters related to IT security. The role also includes conducting regular security analyses to identify, prevent, and alert to vulnerabilities in IT systems and technical environments.

Your responsibilities also include managing, maintaining, and implementing IT security solutions, as well as participating in processes to review and approve systems from a security perspective. It also involves developing protective measures and ensuring that approved action plans are implemented.

The role also requires participation in the Highland Federation's information security work and contributing to the development of the organization's overall security level.

About You

We are looking for someone with relevant university or vocational education in IT or equivalent. You need to have experience in systematic IT security work supported by frameworks such as ISO 27002, CIS Controls v8, or NIST 2.0. You also have experience recommending various security solutions and measures from a balanced risk and security perspective. It is also important that you have a good ability to express yourself in both Swedish and English, both orally and in writing.

You have a personal drive and are unafraid to tackle complex tasks. It is important to us that you have good collaboration skills as the work involves cooperation with many different parties, both internally and externally. You are technically skilled, unpretentious, and analytical. To thrive in the role, you also need to have good problem-solving skills.

The role also requires you to be structured, driven, and goal-oriented, with a solid interest in IT security.

We deliver reliable IT services daily to approximately 32,000 users across various municipal sectors such as education, healthcare, culture and leisure, property, construction, as well as water and sewage. Our IT environment is one of the largest and most challenging in the region, with a comprehensive number of units and infrastructure components.

Good to Know

The application refers to a permanent position at Highland IT. The position will be located in Eksjö. Travel in the service may occur between Highland locations. Possibility of remote work by agreement.

An employment with us as an IT Security Specialist involves placement in a security class. A security review with a background check according to the Security Protection Act (2018:585) will be conducted before a hiring decision.

If you are called for an interview, you need to be able to prove your citizenship. You do this by presenting a valid passport or a personal certificate along with a valid ID. Personal certificates can, if you are a Swedish citizen, be downloaded from the tax agency under my pages. If you are a citizen of a country outside the EU/EES, you must also be able to present a valid residence and/or work permit to work in Sweden. Employment can only occur after the work permit has been verified, in accordance with the Aliens Ordinance.
