Are you a structured and operationally-oriented system administrator who thrives in the intersection between users, requirements, and development? Do you want to be part of further developing a nationally established IT system in close collaboration with engaged colleagues and the business? Then this may be the role for you. Welcome to apply for the position of system administrator/requirements analyst for the Program for Technical Standards (PTS).

The Role of System Administrator/Requirements Analyst

The Program for Technical Standards (PTS) is an IT system currently used by most regional property organizations in Sweden. The system is in an ongoing development phase where a new program version is being gradually developed with modules and functionality, with the goal of fully replacing the existing version. As a system administrator/requirements analyst, you will be involved in this long-term development work and contribute to shaping a modern and operationally-oriented system support. You will work together with a dedicated PTS team consisting of a product manager, a system administrator, and this role, in close collaboration with the business and the contracted supplier. The role has a particular focus on requirements specification and analysis. You are responsible for ensuring that the system support is developed and managed according to the needs of the business.

You will lead and coordinate the requirements work and be involved in the entire development process – from needs analysis and requirements to testing and implementation. The product manager has the primary contact with the supplier's project management, while this role is responsible for the requirements and their content. The work in the team is characterized by close collaboration and shared responsibility. Tasks such as acceptance testing, training of end-users, and user support are planned and carried out together, based on needs and situations.

Job Responsibilities

Your role includes, among other things:

  • Leading and coordinating the requirements work for the new and further development of the Program for Technical Standards (PTS)
  • Capturing, analyzing, and documenting the needs of the business and translating them into clear and actionable requirements specifications
  • Working closely with users and the business to understand workflows, processes, and underlying needs
  • Planning and leading workshops to identify improvements and development needs
  • Prioritizing requirements and development efforts in collaboration with the product manager and other colleagues in the PTS team
  • Collaborating with the supplier's development team and providing support on requirements issues by clarifying and answering questions regarding the content and interpretation of the requirements, in close cooperation with the product manager
  • Ensuring that system and user documentation is kept up to date and aligns with the system's functionality
