Your Role

As a Software Quality Assurance Engineer (SQAE), you are a key player in our quality work. You work closely with projects to ensure that our software meets both internal and external standards and customer requirements. You are responsible for quality assurance of software deliveries, support during design reviews, and contribute to developing effective processes that create smoother and more predictable projects.

You follow the projects from start to finished product, ensuring that set plans and goals are met and maintain close dialogue with both internal stakeholders and customers. As an SQAE, you are part of a group of SQAE’s which provides good opportunities for collaboration and exchange of experiences. Examples of tasks include:

• Ensuring that processes and documentation meet requirements according to industry standards (e.g., RTCA/DO-178C)
• Participating in and driving quality assurance activities related to standards, methods, processes, and tools
• Documenting quality deviations and following up on actions
• Planning, documenting, and executing quality activities in accordance with contracts and project plans
• Reporting continuously on progress, risks, and status within quality work

Your Profile

We are looking for someone with experience in systematic quality work or has worked with software development and wants to take the next step in quality assurance. You have an understanding of how requirements, processes, and structure are interconnected in a development project and are motivated to contribute to high quality throughout the delivery chain.

You work meticulously, structured, and take responsibility for your tasks. At the same time, you are communicative and enjoy dialogue with both development teams and other stakeholders. You have the ability to drive issues forward in a clear and professional manner and feel confident making assessments within your area of responsibility. We value curiosity, initiative, and a desire to continue developing in the quality field.

To succeed in this role, we see that you have:

• Experience in systematic quality management within systems or software development, or experience in software development with an interest in quality assurance
• Education at least at the university level
• Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written

It is a merit if you have:

• Experience in configuration management
• Knowledge of or education in RTCA/DO-178C or equivalent quality standards
• Experience working in regulated or safety-critical environments

The position requires you to undergo and be approved according to applicable security protection regulations. For positions where Saab has requirements for security classification, this may entail requirements for certain citizenship.
