Your Role
The Systems Engineering section consists of 14 people and works with system and verification tasks within safety-critical avionics systems. You will be part of the Business Unit Fighter Core Capabilities within Saab Surveillance.
We develop and deliver safety-critical systems for aircraft, helicopters, and unmanned vehicles, where many of our products are developed in close collaboration with other parts of Saab and external partners.
The Systems Engineering section supports our development projects with systems engineers in requirements management, architecture, system safety, integration, and verification.
We are now looking for more systems engineers with expertise in one or more of these areas.
Aircraft are subject to high safety requirements, and you will work in a requirements-based development process where customer requirements are broken down and validated at all levels. The role involves close collaboration with project managers, designers, systems engineers, test developers, and customers, providing a broad insight into the entire development chain from design to production.
We welcome different perspectives and experiences - we believe this makes us better.
As a systems engineer, you will:
- Develop and analyze system requirements
- Define system architecture and design
- Conduct system safety analyses
- Plan and lead system integration
- Define and lead verification and validation activities at the system level
- Coordinate verification across different disciplines (HW/SW/System)
- Track requirement coverage and test results
You will also have the opportunity to deepen your knowledge of standards for safety-critical development as well as Saab's methods and tools, alongside colleagues who are eager to share their knowledge.
Your Profile
We are looking for someone with an engineering degree in electronics, software, mechanics, or physics and work experience in requirements management, architecture, verification, and validation - preferably at the system level.
Experience with safety-critical systems and requirements management tools is an advantage.
As a person, you are structured, meticulous, and communicative. You enjoy both independent work and collaborating with others, contributing to an open and respectful work environment.
You are receptive, adaptable, and have an easy time building and maintaining relationships. Furthermore, you see opportunities in changes, take initiatives for improvements, and remain calm even in pressured situations. The role requires good collaboration skills and you thrive with many points of contact within the organization.
You are fluent in Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
Interviews and selection will be conducted continuously, and the position may be filled before the application deadline, so do not hesitate to submit your application today.
The position requires you to undergo and be approved according to the applicable regulations for security protection. For positions where Saab has requirements for security classification, this may involve requirements for certain citizenship.
What You Will Be Part Of
Saab is a leading defense and security company with the purpose of helping nations protect their populations and contribute to the safety of people and communities. With 28,000 talented employees, Saab develops technology and solutions for a safer and more sustainable world.
Saab develops, manufactures, and maintains advanced systems in aviation, weapons, command systems, sensors, and underwater systems. Saab has its headquarters in Sweden but operates globally, being part of many nations' defense capabilities.
