System Engineer at Combitech in Växjö

We are now looking for more system engineers to Combitech in Växjö who want to work for one of Sweden's most interesting technology companies, with a strong connection to the Swedish defense industry and assignments in both the public and private sectors. Your role as a system engineer in telephony and networks

The changing and uncertain global situation has led to increased demands for secure, robust, and long-term communication solutions in both the private and public sectors. To meet these needs, especially within critical infrastructure, our client wants to grow with more like-minded individuals who value development, quality, and security.

In the role of system engineer, you will have a varied job where you participate in both larger and smaller delivery projects, always in close collaboration with the end customer. You will work on the development and verification of technical design solutions and be an important contributing force in both customer dialogues and deliveries. A central part of the work involves conducting tests in a lab environment, where solutions are set up, verified, documented, and optimized before commissioning. The work often results in you producing and structuring technical documentation related to deliveries within the projects.

The role may also involve travel of varying lengths to customer facilities or to suppliers. You work closely with both customers and colleagues to ensure robust deliveries with a focus on sustainability, security, and high quality. Through your work, you contribute to strengthening communication capabilities in solutions that are crucial for a safer and more resilient society.

Who are you?

We are looking for someone with a civil or university engineering degree and a strong technical interest, particularly focused on network design and network technology. You may have several years of experience or be at the beginning of your career - what matters most is your interest in technology and your willingness to develop.

To succeed in the role, you should have basic knowledge of Linux, preferably with experience in Red Hat Linux. You have an understanding of network design and network technologies such as routing and switching. You also have experience in system integration and are used to working systematically with technical documentation related to these deliveries.

It is advantageous if you have experience in system and network architecture as well as knowledge of IP telephony, SIP, and virtualization environments such as VMware. If you also have programming skills, for example in Python or Java, we see this as an extra plus.

As the position involves work covered by defense secrecy, you are required to undergo and be approved in a security clearance with a background check.
