On the old herring island Klädesholmen outside Tjörn lies Salt & Sill, surrounded by Bohuslän's salty cliffs and skerries. We are Sweden's first floating hotel and one of the west coast's most appreciated archipelago destinations, with a hotel, conference facilities, and a restaurant – right by the dock.

Our business has been operated in its current form since the early 2000s and is characterized by a strong passion for food, people, and hospitality. The proximity to the sea and local ingredients permeates both our menus and guest experiences. We are a seasonal business with a high tempo during parts of the year, where collaboration, responsibility, and engagement are crucial for the whole.

We are now looking for a head waiter or first waiter for Sjöboden during the summer season. Sjöboden is our relaxed summer restaurant by the sea, where we serve pizza, seafood, and selected small dishes in a lively and cozy environment.

In this role, you will have extended responsibility for the daily operations in Sjöboden and act as a natural coordinator in the service. The position is primarily for the period from June to August, and working hours are scheduled for weekdays and weekends, during the day and evening.

This is an operational role for you who thrives in service but also enjoys creating structure, flow, and security in everyday life. You are present in the service, lead the work during the shift, and ensure that both guests and colleagues have a good experience.

The role involves close collaboration with the kitchen, bar, and other functions, and you are the one who holds everything together in Sjöboden during opening hours.

You are responsible for leading and distributing the daily work in the service at Sjöboden and ensuring a good flow during the shifts. The role includes welcoming guests, following up on guest experiences, and being a support for colleagues in the service. You have an overview of bookings, seating, and tempo and collaborate with the kitchen and bar for smooth operations. When necessary, you handle questions and feedback from guests in a professional and solution-oriented manner.

We believe you have at least three years of experience from a similar role, for example as a head waiter, first waiter, or in another operational service function with extended responsibility. You are confident in service, communicative, and used to taking responsibility in an environment where the pace is sometimes high. You have a natural hospitality, good judgment, and the ability to create calm and structure even when there is a lot to do. Collaboration is a given for you, and you contribute to a positive and professional work environment. You speak Swedish and English fluently, both orally and in writing.
