Taverna Averna is a classic bistro and bar with a pulse. Guests who know what they want come here – good food, good drinks, and a natural place to return to. About the roleYou are passionate about ensuring that every plate leaving the kitchen maintains high quality, both in taste and visually. You have a sharp eye for detail, handle ingredients with respect, and see hygiene and precision as a natural part of professional pride.
In this role, you work closely with the Head Chef and help set the direction for both work methods and quality. Together, you are responsible for the daily operations of the kitchen and create the right conditions to deliver high quality – every day.
You share responsibility with the Head Chef for planning, ordering, and inventory, ensuring the kitchen is prepared to deliver consistent and thoughtful service. The kitchen produces food for both Taverna Averna and Kafé Magasinet, offering a varied daily routine where you get to work with two different concepts and ensure quality in both operations.
During service, you are present, clear, and supportive. You distribute tasks, follow up, and ensure that every part of the kitchen functions as a whole. You coach the team in their daily work and contribute to a positive work environment where everyone works towards the same goal – to give the guest a really great experience. Here you work together with a team where collaboration, communication, and respect for each other's roles are crucial to reaching all the way out to the guest.
We are looking for you who- have experience working in a kitchen with a high tempo and high quality standards
- are a confident and ego-free leader who enjoys developing others
- are structured and have good planning skills
- communicate clearly and see teamwork as a natural success factor
- are passionate about cooking and want to help develop both the team and the guest experience.
Scope: Full-time
Salary: Based on agreement
