Welcome to Al Dente – The Nordics' largest Italian food community

Al Dente was founded in Stockholm in 2002 and has grown to become the leading destination in the Nordics for authentic Italian cooking, wine tastings, and culinary experiences. Today, we operate seven venues, employ over 50 chefs, and welcome more than 25,000 guests every year.

We are known for our homemade pasta, our gelato, our cooking classes, and our strong Italian community. Now, we are taking the next step by opening the fresh pasta restaurant Piazza Italia, located in the same building as Al Dente Gothenburg.

Our new two-story destination combines a restaurant and a cooking studio:

Ground Floor – Piazza Italia:

A fresh pasta restaurant where we serve a carefully selected few dishes every day, all based on homemade fresh pasta. We work with a consciously narrow concept: few dishes, made really well, with ingredients that speak for themselves. To finish, we offer our own-produced gelato, made according to Italian tradition. We welcome both booked guests and drop-ins.

Upper Floor – Cooking Studio:

Already in operation, where we offer cooking classes and wine tastings for both private individuals and companies.

What makes Al Dente unique is that the entire operation is interconnected. All prep work done for the restaurant guests is also used for our cooking classes and events. This means that:

• We work with the same ingredients, the same quality, and the same craftsmanship in all parts of the business.
• Our chefs get a varied and developing role, where they both cook for the restaurant and contribute to courses and events.
• Guests get an authentic and consistent experience – whether they come for a dinner, a course, or a corporate event.

Start your journey with our internal training – Al Dente Academy

All new employees start with our internal training, where our own teachers guide you through the craft from day one. You gain practical experience in authentic Italian cooking and get a flying start into our culture.
