Do you want to be part of developing a kitchen where joy of food, collaboration, and sustainability are at the center?

We are now looking for a Kitchen Manager who wants to help create structure, job satisfaction, and long-term development in the kitchen operations at Axevalla Folk High School.

Responsibilities

As Kitchen Manager, you will play a key role in driving daily operations and leading the team in planning, structuring, and developing the kitchen activities.

The operations run year-round, and the kitchen serves breakfast, lunch, and coffee breaks daily. Our guests include the school's participants, staff, conference guests, and course attendees.

The position is newly established and created to strengthen clarity, collaboration, and long-term sustainability in the operations. You will work operationally in the kitchen for most of your working hours while simultaneously being responsible for coordinating and developing the work together with the work group.

The role includes, among other things:

  • planning and leading work meetings
  • creating clear routines and division of labor
  • responsible for long-term and thoughtful menu planning
  • developing operations based on quality, economy, and sustainability
  • contributing to a good dining environment for participants, guests, and staff
  • actively working for a good psychosocial work environment and strengthened team spirit

The position initially does not include personnel responsibility.

We are looking for someone who

  • has experience leading or coordinating work
  • is confident in planning, structuring, and developing operations
  • has a good understanding of economy, work environment, and collaboration
  • is clear, solution-oriented, and communicative
  • enjoys working together with others and creating engagement

We will place great emphasis on personal suitability.

Conditions

The position is full-time (100%) and begins with a probationary period. Individual salary setting applies. Collective agreements through Kommunal and Arbetsgivaralliansen.

Operations are primarily conducted on weekdays and during daytime, but weekend work also occurs. Working hours will therefore mostly be during the day, but weekend work and occasional evenings may occur.

The position will be filled as soon as possible according to agreement.
