Your Role

Would you like to be part of the area responsible for the most technically advanced parts of Gripen and the future fighter aircraft?

In the Aeronautical Engineering area, we are responsible for the development of control systems, aerodynamics, flight mechanics, and performance. Here we develop flight mechanical and aerodynamic models, calculate performance, and develop and integrate software and hardware for both Gripen and next-generation aircraft systems. We have many exciting projects ahead of us and need to grow in several areas.

With us, you can work as an engineer, technical leader, and/or project manager in several technical areas. A total of about 150 people work in the area, divided into eight sections. We have a wide range of roles in our assignments, spanning from concept development to delivered product.

Some examples of technical focus areas:

• Control system computers, sensors, programming, and control engineering
• Flight mechanical and aerodynamic models
• Requirement breakdown and hardware architecture in safety-critical systems
• System safety, performance calculations
• Verification and validation through simulation, rig testing, and system testing

We would like you to:

• Have a strong interest in aviation and/or technology
• Have a technical education as a Master of Science in Engineering or Bachelor of Engineering
• Have a specialization such as technical physics, mechanical engineering focusing on fluid and mechatronic systems, aerospace engineering, computer science, electronics, or similar
• Be curious about both your tasks and your colleagues, and thrive in a supportive culture where collaboration and sharing knowledge is encouraged
• Contribute to a positive work environment by being open to new perspectives, wanting to create safe relationships, and promoting good cohesion
• For intended roles as project managers, we see that you have complementary experience in project management within industry.
