We are now seeking a Supplier Quality Oversight Engineer for one of our clients.

Assignment Description Supplier Quality Oversight Engineer (resident contractor)

General Job Function:

Perform a variety of oversight duties to ensure externally sourced products meet the quality and technical requirements defined by our company. Within this role, the primary focus will be to execute surveillance of the tube supplier as a resident representative at the supplier's premises (Sandviken).

Duties and Responsibilities (in order of priority):

- Implement supplier surveillance and oversight plans for complex and critical procurement (tube) to ensure compliance with quality and technical standards.

- Perform verification and acceptance activities to confirm items and/or services being provided by suppliers conform to our purchase order requirements.

- Record the results of the surveillance performed using IT tools in accordance with our procedures.

- Raise deviations found during the execution of the oversight and verify proper implementation of the solutions proposed by the supplier and approved by our company.

- Be the main point of contact at the supplier's premises for support required by different stakeholders such as Project Team, Project Quality, Engineering, Supply Chain.

- Attend weekly/monthly meetings linked to manufacturing activities.

- Participate in customer, regulator, and audits when needed.

- Provide weekly and monthly reporting to the Supplier Quality Management group for KPI.

Qualifications / Experience / Skills • A Bachelor’s Degree in an engineering discipline, technical area, or equivalent is required.

• A minimum of 5 years related experience in a similar role for the nuclear industry is required with extensive working knowledge of Supplier Quality Oversight/surveillance.

• Working knowledge and application of US NRC Regulations and European Standards such as 10CFR50 Appendix B and 10CFR21; and national consensus standards of quality assurance, such as ASME B&PV Code, ANSI ASME NQA-1. Familiarity with NDE techniques and applicable practices such as SNT-TC-1A.

Skills and Competencies: • Experience in tube manufacturing/procurement and associated operations in the nuclear industry. • Proven experience in NDE, especially Eddy current testing. Certification is a plus.

• Apply analytical techniques to identify deviations,

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Swedish are required, including the ability to communicate technical requirements and regulatory compliance information across language barriers.

• Works to exceed customers’ expectations in ways that are aligned with company goals.

• Works within approved structures and systems to build superior customer relationships.

• Position located in Sandviken, Sweden at the supplier facility.
