JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Lessebo Municipality is looking for an accounting assistant who will work with daily financial administration and is an important part of ensuring well-functioning financial processes. The tasks include, among other things, accounts payable, ongoing bookkeeping, reconciliations, VAT reporting, and support for operations in financial administrative matters. You will handle ongoing bank contacts and serve as a backup to the accounting assistant responsible for invoicing and accounts receivable.
The position is centrally located in the municipality's finance department, which is part of the municipal management administration. The finance department consists of eight people with different areas of responsibility and competencies, and we support each other in various tasks. We are currently in the process of implementing a new financial system together with six other municipalities, and the entire finance department is engaged in this exciting project in various ways.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for someone with post-secondary education in finance. Experience in financial work and accounts payable is an advantage.
We seek someone who takes responsibility, is service-oriented, and solution-focused. To succeed and thrive in the role of accounting assistant, you need to have a good ability to plan and structure your work for the greater good. You have good computer skills and are proficient in the Office suite, especially Excel.
You want to develop and improve a little every day, both in your own work and in how we can collectively enhance financial processes and our service. An important part of the role is therefore to participate in and preferably drive efforts to streamline financial flows and work processes. We will place great emphasis on personal suitability.
You write and speak Swedish fluently.
