Sustainability Specialist at Lammhults Design Group AB

Lammhults Design Group AB is a Swedish publicly listed furniture group with leading Scandinavian brands. With a focus on innovation that supports a sustainable lifestyle, circular materials and flows, as well as reduced climate impact, VEM is now looking for a Sustainability Specialist who can take their sustainability work to the next level.

About the position

As a Sustainability Specialist, you will have the opportunity to work in a group with strong brands in design and interior where sustainability is a prioritized issue and an integral part of the business. The role is new, where you will work cross-functionally within the group with brands in the Office Interior business area, primarily Abstracta and Lammhults Möbel. You will become a natural part of product development and be included in development teams that include product developers, designers, and various types of specialists. You will also work closely with sales, purchasing, and suppliers, as well as collaborate with colleagues in sustainability and quality in the different companies. You are expected to contribute with expert support in early stages of development projects to promote sustainable development and build on the company's long-standing tradition of timeless design, high quality, and long product lifespan.

The role is expected to ensure that products meet relevant legal requirements, market demands, and internal goals related to climate impact, circularity, and certifiability.

You will work operationally to gather information and sustainability data and work with certifications and verifications. You will also monitor the external environment, conduct requirement analyses, and work with EPDs.

You will build structures, working methods, priorities, and drive digitalization forward. All to make sustainability issues clear, accessible, and useful throughout the organization.

About you

You have experience working with sustainability issues closely related to products and materials. You have worked with EPDs, certifications, and verifications and are accustomed to dealing with regulations and standards. Furthermore, you have the ability to translate requirements and environmental data into practical work that lasts over time and are used to working systematically with documentation and management of sustainability data.

As a person, you take responsibility for your area with independence where structure, accuracy, and quality are natural parts of your working method, as well as your ability to create order and accessibility of complex information. You have the ability to drive and coordinate sustainability projects, communicate clearly, and thrive on being a support in a daily life where dialogue and collaboration are central parts of the work.

Good to know

The role is based at Abstracta AB in Lammhult, one of the companies within the Office Interiors business area of Lammhults Design Group. You report to the Head of Assortment and Product Development for Office Interiors. Travel occurs to some extent within Sweden and the Nordic countries, to other companies within the group, and to suppliers. You have the opportunity to work remotely one day a week.
