Client Administrator at the Remand Prison in Växjö

The Swedish Prison and Probation Service is expanding – we are building new facilities, renovating, and adding to existing ones, and we are now looking for more employees. We are the authority responsible for prisons, probation, remand facilities, and client transport.

JOB DESCRIPTION

As a client administrator at the remand prison in Växjö, you will be responsible for the overall client work under the supervision of the prison inspector. The work involves making decisions by delegation, case management, monitoring the legal client process, execution checks, and client matters such as planning the execution of sentences for inmates, receiving satisfaction declarations, delivering decisions/judgments, and calculating prison time.

Your tasks as a client administrator also include disseminating information and providing methodological guidance to staff in their daily work. The assignment also includes developing and ensuring the quality of legal work at the Remand Prison in Växjö in dialogue with the prison inspector. Collaboration with other authorities frequently occurs within the framework of the assignment.

In addition to the role of client administrator, you will also be responsible for processing compensation cases (claims for damages) and developing work related to this, while also having some administrative duties such as daily mail handling, managing inmates' funds, monitoring digital mailboxes, and case management filing together with the prison's administrative officer.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with good administrative law knowledge and experience in handling tasks that involve both legal decisions and guidance assignments. You must be responsive to the demands of legal certainty. You are structured and self-driven in your work. In stressful situations, you maintain your composure and are stable. It is important for you to be loyal and act in accordance with decisions made, policies, and guidelines. You have a high linguistic analytical ability.

We are looking for someone who has:

  • A completed upper secondary education or other education combined with work experience that the Swedish Prison and Probation Service deems relevant
  • Experience in case management, decision-making, or investigative work
  • The ability to express oneself well in spoken and written Swedish.
  • Good administrative skills.
  • Good administrative law knowledge

It is advantageous if you have:

  • Completed the Swedish Prison and Probation Service's basic training.
  • Previous experience as a client administrator within the Swedish Prison and Probation Service.
  • Good knowledge of relevant legislation.
  • Good knowledge of the Swedish Prison and Probation Service's client administrative systems.
  • Good knowledge of other relevant languages in both spoken and written form
