Centralsjukhuset Kristianstad (CSK) is the emergency hospital for northeastern Skåne. Here, qualified emergency care is provided around the clock by qualified and dedicated staff across all specialty areas. CSK has the resources of a large hospital and the closeness and community of a smaller hospital. The hospital offers residents in the catchment area care with short waiting times across all specialties.

The gynecology, surgery, and ENT department in Kristianstad belongs to the surgical area, and patients come here who belong to gynecology, surgery, and ear, nose, and throat (ENT). We care for patients both after elective surgeries and in emergency situations, offering inpatient care for 12 beds. Our department consists of about 35 staff members and we have over 1,400 inpatient patients annually.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a nurse with us, your responsibilities include counseling, medication management, care planning, and contact with relatives. In the ward, you will work with both inpatient and day-care patients, as well as those who come to our abortion clinic. Our operations run 24/7 every day of the week.

At the beginning of your employment, you will receive basic training alongside different medical specialties. For newly graduated nurses, Region Skåne also offers an introductory program for one year, as well as extended mentorship and clinical skills training. We also have an educational nurse in the department who is available as support for both our new hires and our experienced nurses. The educational nurse organizes training, provides clinical supervision and reflection, and is responsible for our nurses' professional development.

We also have two other operations in our unit: the arrival department where we prepare patients for surgery/examination and provide treatment during the day, and the gynecology outpatient clinic where we provide chemotherapy treatment to gynecological patients with cancer diagnoses.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse with the authority to practice within Swedish healthcare. You have language skills in Swedish at least corresponding to level C1 according to the Council of Europe’s scale. It is an advantage if you have previous work experience in gynecology, breast, ENT operations, or in an emergency department. We also see it as desirable to have knowledge of Melior and Obstetrix.

We are looking for someone who has good foresight and organizational skills, while also being able to prioritize your work when an emergency situation arises. It is a given for us that you are meticulous in your nursing role, take care of patients according to their various needs, and provide them with a good reception. As a person, you are engaged, proactive, and open to new challenges and opportunities.
