We are looking for nursing assistants and care assistants who want to work with us during the summer of 2025!
Our Operations
85C is a rehabilitation ward within inpatient care with 14 beds. We care for patients aged 18 and older and have two medical specialties. You will work in a team with many experienced colleagues, and together we make a difference for our patients.
Our medical specialties are rehabilitation medicine and neurogeriatrics, focusing on the rehabilitation of significant functional impairments in individuals with illnesses or acquired injuries to the nervous system. We are a department with over 60 employees from various professions.
In our department, we have time for our patients, and we can follow them through the entire process. It is with us that patients take the fundamental steps back towards as independent and active a life as possible. The goal is for everyone to return to the lives they had before their injury, to the greatest extent possible.
Your Mission
As a nursing assistant, you will work closely with patients, contributing to meeting their individual care needs. The nursing assistant helps patients with personal hygiene and dressing through a rehabilitative approach. This means that the patient should maintain and do what they can themselves and practice regaining their abilities from before the healthcare event. You, along with the team, are responsible for providing patient-safe care by assessing risks for pressure ulcers, falls, malnutrition, etc. Together with the team, you will implement measures and evaluate them to minimize the risk of care injuries.
With us, you will gain a breadth of knowledge as our patients often have complex care needs. You will combine care work with other tasks such as documenting in the journal system, NEWS checks, venipuncture, catheter management and insertion, wound dressing, and connecting feeding tubes, etc.
Your Qualifications
We are looking for you who are a trained nursing assistant, nursing student from semester 3, or medical student from semester 6. You have good knowledge and skills in the care profession. You also have good computer skills, and it is an advantage if you are familiar with the journal system Cosmic.
Your Competence
We value a positive work environment where all employees thrive and feel safe. We are looking for someone interested in rehabilitation who wants to work in a multidisciplinary team.
You are empathetic and have a good attitude as well as strong collaboration skills. You are also an engaged and positive colleague who contributes to a good work environment. As a person, you are positive, responsible, and have the ability and willingness to see the patient's needs. We place great emphasis on personal qualities.
We Offer
With us, you will receive a tailored introduction based on your previous experiences.
We can offer you a summer position with the possibility of extension or hourly employment. We would like you to work at least 5 weeks.
With us, you will receive benefits that make a difference; read about the benefits here (https://regionuppsala.se/jobba-hos-oss/bli-var-nya-kollega/formaner/).
