Our Operations

The Academic Laboratory is looking for a laboratory assistant who wants to work in the Clinical Pathology section. Clinical pathology is a field within medicine that plays a central role in, among other things, cancer diagnostics. We are located in our own building as part of the Rudbeck Laboratory and are organizationally part of the Academic Laboratory. Currently, about 130 people work in the section, of which approximately half are biomedical analysts (BMA). The work is carried out in close collaboration between BMA, pathologists (doctors), molecular biologists, nursing assistants, and other professional groups. Clinical pathology is facing intense development, including digitalization.

Your Mission

As a laboratory assistant in clinical pathology, you will be responsible for handling and unpacking purchased goods and reagents, logistics regarding ordered consumables and laboratory materials, as well as preparing reagents for laboratory instruments. The work also includes some heavy lifting. Additionally, other tasks related to the laboratory's daily operations will be included.

Your Qualifications

We are looking for someone who is a laboratory assistant or has a nursing assistant education with a laboratory focus. You have good computer skills. Previous experience from a lab is an advantage. You thrive in a workplace with occasionally high tempo. Good language skills, both spoken and written in Swedish, are a requirement. Great emphasis will be placed on experience and personal qualities.

A permanent position, full-time, daytime, possibly a probationary period of six months. Start date according to agreement.
